"Maybe I Won't Need Shooting After All.... November 19, 2007"

Well, I managed to get 2 walls and most of the ceiling painted yesterday so maaaaybe I won't need to be shot after all (well, at least not for this anyway!). I'm actually cleaning out some old junk as I go - so this has been a good thing. I just can't believe I waited till the last minute to get it done.

Well, gotta get back to painting - just wanted to take a few minute breather. Besides, if I stop for too long, it takes tooooooo much effort to convince myself to get back to work!

I have lost my mind completely - for some unknown reason I had this delusional idea that I could rearrange my furniture, paint my living room and hallway, cook for 2 Thanksgiving family get-togethers, work several 12 hour shifts, decorate for Christmas and get it all done before my children come over for Thanksgiving next Sunday!!

WHAT WAS I THINKING????

I was absolutely not thinking about the fact that I am older and now HAVE to have 7-8 hours of sleep a night to function instead of the 3-4 that I used to need. I certainly was not thinking about the unchangeable fact that there are only 24 hours in a day (when I was younger - days were much longer). I did not think about how heavy all that furniture was and how I'm not as strong as I once was. I must have forgotten the laws of physics because I could have sworn that an 8' sofa would fit perfectly on a 6' wall..... I am convinced that this all has to be due to the early onset of "Old Timers", not that I am by any means "OLD" (watch it - I know what you're thinking!).

I have obviously lost what little bit of a mind I had left . . . . I got started today and realized what a monumental task I have taken on. Hence, I have only one request to make of my many friends . . . . .

Someone please just shoot me now!!
